Finishes 2-0 Brentwood.

Other appropriate results:
Aveley 3 - 1 Hashtag
Billericay 3 - 2 Canvey Island
Cray Wanderers 2 - 1 Cray Valley Paper Mills
Cheshunt 4 - 1 Potters Bar
Dulwich Hamlet 2 - 1 Carshalton

Ergo, whilst Welling sit equal on points with Hashtag, and 1 above Cray Valley PM, there is of course the game in hand against Potters Bar.

And, of course, the Hashtag situation means there is no need to worry about them. With games running out I still feel very positive. Touch wood, you would like to think the Potters Bar game is an additional 3 points as they should be down by then, Dulwich is a winnable game and then we have a free hit at Cray Wanderers and Billericay. That *should* be enough, regardless of any Cray Valley heroics.

Very flat and with no Troy, seemed although we conceded defeat before a ball was kicked

A very difficult day at the office today compared to our usual standards. Brentwood were on top for all the game really, even when we had some bright spells they were so dangerous. Kymani Thomas is a cracking player, definitely a NLS player minimum, and Zak had a torrid time against him for the most part.

McKenzie will not want to look back for the 1st goal, but mistakes happen and he has been fantastic in the last few months so it is what it is.

A very tough watch, but all that matters is that we respond. Massive game on Saturday against Dulwich have to be getting a result there.

We can't be too disheartened, Brentwood are a very good side. We competed well in the first half but when they scored their well taken second it was always going to be a struggle. I'm relieved that Valley lost the Cray Derby and its still very much in our own hands. We can look ahead to the Dulwich clash on Saturday with optimism given our recent form at PVR.
