Id like to join WUSA. Could someone please let me know, - How to do this, - What it costs, - What I get for my money, - How many current members there are, - What those members and their votes/influence has had on recent club decisions. Thank you, Wings Fan
Bit short notice for today but from now on club shop will open every Monday morning until the end of September from 10-12. The only exception is when we are playing next Monday when the shop will open per normal matchdays. If we get some decent weather we hope to paint the outside of the shop on one of these...
Just for a bit of fun, put your score predictions for tomorrow's game and who you think will be the first Wings scorer or put no scorer if you're not feeling too confident! The correct or closest prediction wins a free pint from me at next Saturday's home game.
Saturday will see the return of real ale in the Wings Bar. Bexley Brewery- Five Arches poured from the cask. Bexley Brewery- Bottles-BOB and ACER. WUSA members don't forget to show your membership card when ordering to obtain discount on certain drinks.
Anyone available to help Sally sell the 50/50 tickets this Saturday? Unfortunately Im working and Steve is still on holiday. If you can help We usually sell the tickets between 2pm to 3pm
As you will have seen from my earlier post there are no trains to St. Albans on 28th. WUSA are investigating the possibility of running a supporters coach if there is enough interest. As yet we do not have a definitive price but depending on how many are interested it should be no more than £22 and for WUS...
We've been drawn at home to Hanwell in the first round in a fixture that has to be completed by 6th November. Should we win, we'll be away to AFC Croydon or Dulwich Omelette.
I have been asked about post charges for replica shirts. Current inland charges including packing are Second class £2.82 First £3.12 Signed Second £4.22 or Signed First £4.52 all these charges are at cost. International post can be arranged also at cost.
Hopefully the club do something for this, that it is well promoted across social media and we get a decent crowd in for a match when there is no Premier League or Championship games on. I wont hold my breath.
a programme from the Welling United v Bath City FA Cup 2nd round tie, 1988-89. The game attracted a record 3,000+ crowd, and I was unable to get a programme. If any kind soul reads this and has a spare original, or photocopy of the original they could send me, I would be very grateful as it would complete my...
Just seen their updated code of conducted posted today. For anyone trying to give up smoking your not allowed to vape in the stadium as it is not covid secure.
I have just been to PVR and unpacked our stock. Think this is the first time in 3 seasons shirts will be available for our first home game. The only items we do not have yet are the baby/toddler kits as they have to be made especially and also 1 shirt that was a special order for me (sods law). I will be in touch...
From the main site Waynes son Kai has signed for us. I know Billy Burgess followed in his dads footsteps in coming to Welling. I was wondering if any other sons have followed their player fathers to our club.
So i'm thinking the below is our confirmed players so far? Some of the players can play across positions i.e. left or centre back, Lyle across midfield etc. but I hope we get cover for the keeper if we haven't already. Love to have another option up top. Anyone missing from this list? Tom Smith ...
After going a goal down in the first minute I feared the worst but we played ok and had some good chances in both halves. Maybe Bromley didnt go for it second half but you can only play whats in front you. Hopefully a lesson learnt today as we will need to be switched on from the start against Havant. Good to...
Hi all I and some other wings are wanting to start a weekly football session. For numerous reasons reliving youth, losing the beer belly etc. Anyway would anyone on here be interested in joining. The aim is to gather a pool of interested bods and then organise for games to be at weekend on Sunday or pr...
Well...I haven't been to any friendlies but have read all the reports, listened to all the interviews and read the forum. It seems to me that (especially from Tristens interview) that a) don't expect too much. b) the team will not be complete for some weeks yet which bothers me a bit....as Tristen said...
